The Androscoggin River

"Some of the Best River SMALL-MOUTH BASS FISHING I've ever seen... two and  three pounders all day long! Unbelievable!"
Will Ryan  author of Smallmouth Strategies for the Fly Rod

The Clean Water Act of 1972 has had an amazing effect on the Androscoggin River. Once one of the most polluted in the country, it has made an incredible recovery to become a very desirable recreational river for canoeing, kayaking, and fishing.

Each year the "Source to the Sea" canoe trek passes through the area; a flotilla demonstrating just how far the river has come, and how much of the shore of the river remains undeveloped.
