French Falls

Since French Falls had such importance to the community historically, International Paper Company wanted to keep the area undeveloped, give something back to the people, and at the same time fulfillings its F.U.R.C. obligations. Thus was born the French Falls Recreation Area.

In 1996, French Falls River Walk was created by Jay High School Adult Education.

Jay High School's Jay Active Youth enhanced the area in 2002 as part of their vision for a healthy community.

There are picnic tables, a basketball hoop, ball fields, walking paths, and in the winter the fields are flooded to provide skating.
