Part-Time Finance Clerk

The Town of Jay is currently seeking a part-time Finance Clerk. This is a 6-hour-per-week clerical position (Monday from 9:00-3:00) specializing in the keeping of payroll and related records under the supervision of the Finance Director. Key responsibilities include compiling and processing payroll information, preparing payroll checks, maintaining payroll reports, and ensuring accurate direct deposits, employee deductions, and tax deposits. The successful candidate must be able to work independently; possess strong communication and computer skills; and have previous experience in clerical and payroll roles. Municipal experience and knowledge of TRIO software is preferred.
