DEPUTY TOWN CLERK
The Town of Jay is currently seeking a full-time Deputy Town Clerk. This 35-hour-per-week position (Monday–Thursday, 8.75 hours per day) involves significant public interaction, financial collections, and record-keeping under the supervision of the Town Clerk. Key responsibilities include assisting residents at the counter, processing payments, issuing licenses, maintaining vital records, and supporting elections and voter registration. The successful candidate must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment; possess strong communication, administrative, and computer skills; and have previous experience in clerical and public-facing roles. Municipal experience and knowledge of TRIO software is preferred.
