Warrant for November 3, 2026 Special Town Meeting
The following are links to the Warrant for the Nov. 3rd Special Town Meeting along with the related documents.
Voting will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 3rd in conjunction with the State election at the Jay Community Building from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The questions that will appear on the ballot are as follows:
Article 2: Shall an ordinance entitled “Town of Jay Mobile Home Park Lot Rent Stabilization Ordinance” be enacted?
Article 3: Shall the Town of Jay adopt a 180-day moratorium, pursuant to 30-A M.R.S. § 4356, on the acceptance, processing, approval, issuance, or commencement of new commercial ground-mounted solar energy facilities within the Town of Jay, while the Town reviews and considers its comprehensive plan, land-use ordinance, permitting standard, siting requirements, environmental safeguards, decommissioning requirements, financial-assurance requirements, and other municipal regulations concerning such facilities?
